I dont think the nay-sayers here are WoW fanboys...honestly I don't play any MMORPG's at all, not even WoW...and I can say yes, EQ2 looks like ass..at least these shots do.

i play and love EQ2 but this expansion looks sub-par compared to the rest of the content

My god.. EQ2 is SO lacking in the world dept...

Its SO barren.. I rememeber walking into buildings and seeing nothing...
Those most I saw in 1 building was 1 desk and 1 chest

it lacks Chairs,Tables, Desks, branchs, debris, fireplaces, food, plates, forks, bushes, torches, EVERYTHING...

EQ2 paid a prize for its graphics.. its compeletly barren.. boring, and unrealistic....

My initial reactions to EQ2: Trial of the Isle were that the graphics were a step up from EQ1. I like the music, in fact, I kept my headphones on the entire time while playing through six levels. These screenshots, however, look like they could have been taken from EQ1. The demon looks like shit, obviously. The skeletons are moderately better-looking than EQ1's. Sure, the new character customization options are pretty cool, but when all is said and done, you're just paying for a somewhat slicker version of EQ1, hence it is called EQ2. US$4.99 for five areas? Wow. How many Adventure Packs are people going to have to purchase and download this time? Estimated Time Remaining: 12:15:36, Estimated Completion Time: TOMORROW when you're at work. Sony only got me to buy Omens and War and Lost Dragons of Norrath for EQ1 because I was drunk out of my mind, but I've quit drinking since then and I'm not buying any expansions that look like they came out of some developer's kid's ass. Everquest 2: Why should I buy this game?

Yeah!! more zones to load into...

Played the first month, found out that when they said 'There's gonna be instanced zones'.. Thought they meant like WoW, instanced dungoens and such...

No... the ENTIRE GAME is instanced.. and the load zone walls are litterly within eye site of each other... (sometimes litterly 10 ingame steps to the next zone wall)

Those characters look like they came straight out of Napoleon Dynamite's sketchbook.

lol! Everyone looks so stiff. Don't they have any real artists? Where is posture? They all look so stiff. A screeming demon like that should arch forward or back, have its head out, and maybe its arms in a non L shaped position.....something that shows that its real pissed. I've seen better posing and posturing out of GI Joe figures.
