DOOM 3 Expansion Previews, Media

Over at Action trip you can find a preview of DOOM 3: Resurrection of Evil, offering hands-on singleplayer and multiplayer impressions. GameSpy also has a new preview, as do GameHelper and Telefragged. Meanwhile, on FileShack you can find a Resurrection of Evil trailer which shows about a minute and a half of gameplay footage and we have some screenshots right here.

Update: GameSpot and IGN have posted their previews, and GameSpot also has a video interview with id's Todd Hollenshead. GameZone has an article format Q&A with id Software's Matt Hooper.

looks pretty interesting. I wonder how good the netcode is now. Even if its just CTF I bet more mod teams will work with it if its got good netcode.

      im not sure, but I think the big issue with Doom3 engine netcode is that the lighting information, being that it is generated dynamically and being constantly changed/affected by gameplay, has to be passed back and forth, (which is unusual to say the least, maybe unique, for MP FPS games).
      
      I got the idea that it was this "information overhead" that limited the # of players a server could handle. if they didnt make the tranfer more efficent, maybe they created a more simplified lighting system for MP, which they did not have the time to include in the primarily SP vanilla Doom3?
