CS: Source Update Tomorrow

The latest Steam news update is available, giving us some new info on the Counter-Strike: Source update that Valve has been promising. It's being released tomorrow, and in addition to the new cs_compound map, an old favorite is returning as well as de_train will be included. Here are two pics from that.

The update will also include some bot fixes, an enhancement to the radar and a bugfix for HL2DM (no more playing as headcrabs). Thanks DeviantPaul.

I've got an idea for a train map: trains that move. No, I don't mean de_railroad. I mean, how about a map with a large train yard, like 8 tracks, and, what if occasionally a string of train cars got pulled out of the yard or stuck in it? You'd have to watch your ass while walking on the tracks, and the diversion might cause snipers to let their guard down. The screen could even vibrate a bit if you were looking through a scope when trains came in/out.

Just want to say "Thanks!" to Valve for putting in these bots. I don't have a good connection at home, but I really enjoy a good hour of Counterstrike thanks to these bots. While the AI isn't the greatest, and it's kind of annoying sometimes... it's definitley challenging and very much ample enough to satisfy my not-so-hardcore Counterstrike needs.

I really am excited for more levels. I'm so excited that I'm excited for whatever levels get released after cs_compound and de_train. :D
