Mission objectives may be buggy too in this demo, I think I cleared the entire level, went back through it like 4 times till I just shot a teammate and ended the mission... I saw that all the suspects were neutralized, incapacitated or arrested, and all the reports were made about civilans or whatever except 1... I had completed 'restore order to chaos' but not the other two objectives, so I don't know what the trouble is, I definately cleared the entire level.
But it worked the first time around tho, on normal difficulty... so idk

OK everybody, I'm happy to report that Irrational has done it! So far I've only played for about 15 minutes, but from what I've seen so far, this IS the next-gen SWAT 3 we were hoping it would be. Hell yes!
It has everything SWAT 3 does and then some. More command options for ordering your two teams around, more style (the Unreal engine really helps get the lighting and effects right), excellent voice acting, and all kinds of really well done tactical animations/maneuvers. Haven't seen a lot of the AI in action yet, but I'm hoping it's just as random and unpredictable as ever--which imho was the best part of SWAT 3.
Bottom line, if you loved SWAT 3, you need to check this out. :)

Not sold on the so-called quick action menu though. It sounded good when I was reading the write-ups but now that I have seen it action there is no way it can touch the speed of the old swat 3 interface. Sure the learning curve was brutal in swat 3 but once you knew the keys you could blow through commands way faster than you can with a mouse. They should have at least let you map quick keys to the command menu. The default action bar is a pretty good improvement though.
One thing that seems to be missing though is having the viewport for both teams up at once. I thought in swat 3 you could have a viewport for both blue and red teams, then again it has been a while so maybe I am dreaming that up :)

- Freedom Force
- Tribes: Vengeance (RUINED BY COMMUNITY)
- Freedom Force vs. the 3rd Reich
How can this game not be good?
