Bethesda sends along three new Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion screenshots, showing the inside of a cave, a deer in the wilderness, and the city of Chorrol. There's also a new development diary on the official website, discussing the stealth gameplay in Oblivion.

  • Morrowind always did take good screenshots, and these certainly look great. But I'd like to see some videos. I mean, I think we can all agree that while Morrowind was great in a lot of ways, the "feel" just wasn't very solid. It felt like you were sliding over the terrain, the collision detection was a little bit off, jumping was strange, monsters were basically retarded and weren't animated very well, etc. etc. If they can really just tweak the hell out of the feel of the game, so that it feels as coherent as your average first person shooter AND has the scale and depth of Morrowind, I would probably die from starvation at my keyboard playing it.
