Late Night Consoling

Looking back the past couple years, Midway hasn't had many big titles; a few Mortal Kombats and Psi-Ops, but they weren't necessarily huge successes. Today's Midway Gamers' Day showed that the company has some tricks up their sleeves with a handful of potential hits under development. Many of you Shackers have been very impressed with the Unreal Championship 2 demo and the two racing titles (L.A. Rush and Midway Arcade Treasures 3) has a few of ya chompin' at the bit. Hopefully in the next few days we'll see impressions of some of these titles. Maybe we'll find out if Romero's Gauntlet will make us his bitch.
  • Midway's Gamers' Day

Midway had their annual gamers' day in Las Vegas and there's a ton of media available for their wide range of titles. Some sites have condensed their coverage to a single page, so jump to either Game Informer or GameSpot to see impressions, videos, screens, and interviews for games such as LA Rush, NARC, Mortal Kombat: Shaolin Monks, Unreal Championship 2, Fear and Respect, and Area 51, among others.

  • Design Details of the Xbox 360?

    [xbox]

Gaming blog Kotaku claims they have some details on the design of Microsoft's next home console. Their sources say it will be a very sleek, curved unit that can be placed horizontally or vertically, like the PS2. The oddest part will be the ability to customize the unit; consumers can replace removable faceplates with different styles. Their source also said Microsoft is working hard on making it backwards compatible, but haven't yet accomplished the feat.

I hope my new one works and doesn't catch fire during shipping. I'd hate to be the cause of a federal offense.
