Vampire News

Billa from over at Voodoo Extreme spotted two posts on the Vampire: The Masquerade forum made by Nihilistic employees answering a couple of Q's from people about their very cool looking game that should be out next year. Here's a post on editing skins, the interface, system specs and the story teller.

Editable Skins: Yes, this is possible with pretty much any program that can handle .tga files. Photoshop, Paint Shop Pro, etc...

ST functionality: Not quite sure I follow the question... and i've never seen the Hand of God. ST functionality will be a combo sort of thing. One the one hand you'll be able to storytell in the game in real time, with nearly all the freedom you'd have in a p&p game. On the other hand you can use the level editing tools, etc.. to create your own custom chronicles and/or levels. The second option is not required to be a storyteller.

System Specs: Most of us develop on P2/333's. The game runs great on these. The minimum system requirement is not released at this time. EAX/A3D/DirectSound3D/etc... : Yes, via the Miles library.

Interface: The entire interface is mouse driven. One of the goals is to make the game fully playable without the use of the keyboard. This is not to say that there are not keyboard keys, etc... just that they're not required in most cases.
This post is about the third-person view in Vampire, and how the alternate first person mode will work (only to look around, moving won't be possible).
