S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Delay
by Maarten Goldstein, Feb 02, 2005 7:26am PSTAccording to the German THQ news page, S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Shadow of Chernobyl has been delayed once again. The game has suffered multiple release slips already, and is no longer expected to be released this May. GSC Game World PR manager Oleg Yavorsky is quoted as saying the developer is happy to be granted extra development time by publisher THQ, and they will use the extra time to make sure the game lives up to the expectations of the fans.

Just release a stinking demo already, I've already seen enough locations over the past 3 years where the viewdistance is like a mile. How hard can it be to just box up one little section of the game and release it so we can see if it lives up to the hype or not. Even if it's just multiplayer, something would be better than endless FAQ's and pushbacks...

weapons, enemies, nice scripted sequences. nothing. nothing which set off a memorable moment, imo. but this life simulation system could be interesting. well.. let's wait and see...
