Hollywood Reporter has no credibility for me after that cutscene article where they quoted the guy who worked on the Incredibles game as saying Pixar "got it" when they let them pump footage from the movie into the game as cheapo cutscenes. Their articles on games only scrape out of utter turd status cos they seem good at getting quotes from Valve who truly do get it.

Still, I'm really disappointed their crap is considered worth posting here. Their articles always seem to be pushing the "hey guys lets make the games industry our bitch"/"games are just a way of making more money out of a movie" agenda.

Nobody...please don't let videogames go the way of hollywood. Can't people just friggin read like we used to in games. It makes it go faster anyways, I hate waiting for some goof to spout out his lines before I can move on with the game.

What we need is good voice acting in games, not necessarily high profile. Games seem to either spend nothing to get below average voice acting or overpay to get a huge studio name to advertise. I mean come on, there has to be some good voice talent out there that isn't a big hollywood name.

Good read. Anyone have any opinions on who they'd like to see(hear) do some video game voice-acting? Edward Norton, Alec Baldwin (too explensive, likely), and Kristin Scott Thomas have great voices for it, in my opinion.
