First time I've updated this tally without having worked out that day. I worked out Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday, making it 5 days in a row before I took a break yesterday. Didn't originally intend to take today off, but it turned out to be the right choice as I got all my studying done and it looks like I'll actually be getting to sleep at a reasonable hour. Just gotta be sure to work out tomorrow and Saturday no matter what excuses I come up with.
I want to get a bodyfat scale. Does anyone have any recommendations? How do they compare accuracy-wise with other methods of bodyfat % measurement? The last measurement I had done was with the calipers, and although it's not critical, it'd be great if I could reasonably compare the scale's indications with that initial measurement.
Then again, since I'll be using it as my primary progress indicator, it's probably more important that the scale's reported bodyfat % be internally consistent as opposed to globally consistent (random error vs. systematic error).

I just add the host names, it pings them every 60 seconds, when the pings are out of my range, it alerts me via email. It keeps a log so I can graph out results and see who has a shitty connection. Its the shit and I wish I could program things like this on my own.

The reason this sucks is because I have over 2,000 worth of downloads at MSN Music and all there songs are in WMA format.

Yesterday my youngest kitten (Marzipan, 6 months) threw up. So I went to get the carpet cleaner and all that good stuff. Now, I'm used to bottles where the direction of the spray goes forward and not up, right? So I'm aiming the bottle, ready to spray the stain, right? Marzipan is sniffing the top of the bottle so I brush her away. And spray.
Huh? It sprayed but didn't hit the ground. OMG! It sprays from the top. And Marzipan was RIGHT there. Of course, at this point she is BOLTING around the room in circles, screeching like a banshee.
So not only did she just throw up but she also got a face full of carpet cleaner. She's doing better now, she's forgiven me but still... I felt like a huge dick and it made me very sad. :(

The basic goal of the re-design was to make it easy for me to maintain the uploaded files while avoiding excessive bandwidth usage. Nobody can direct link to any of the uploaded files... you have to go through the cold fusion pages I setup. The only exception is for images, which are displayed directly on the page like this test image:

There is still some stuff I need to do to it like:
- make the max download thing a little smarter according to file size. Right now, every file gets a max of 175 downloads. This 175 limit is based on the assumption that everyone is going to upload 1.5 meg files
- Add some Shack specific logic. This is where I'll need everyone to help and pitch ideas. One idea I had was for the popular "show me your desktop" threads. If somebody posts a link to an uploaded image file in a shack comments thread, I can detect that and perhaps just display the image with none of the wrapper stuff (i.e. my site layout, google ads, etc). Please shackmessage any ideas or use the 'contact me' form provided on the site to send me ideas. I can't guarantee I will implement everything, but I'm curious as to what kind of things you guys/gals would like. This is, after all, an upload site made specifically for my fellow Shackers.

SONY missed out on potential sales from MP3 players and other gadgets because it was overly proprietary about music and entertainment content, the head of the company's video-game unit said.
Ken Kutaragi, president of Sony Computer Entertainment, said he and other Sony employees had been frustrated for years with management's reluctance to introduce products like Apple's iPod, mainly because the Sony had music and movie units that were worried about content rights.
But Sony's divisions were finally beginning to work together and share a common agenda, Mr Kutaragi said at the Foreign Correspondents Club in Tokyo.
"It's just starting," he said. "We are growing up."
