Already we're a week into 2005. Just like that it will be 2006. Doesn't look like there are any good movies out this weekend, so I guess gaming and DVD watching it is. Movie: Waiting for me, chunk-face?

    I just read Seven Summits, a book about their climbs. I've had it on the shelf for years but never read it. That really sucks. Reading about evertyhing him and dick bass went through to get through the seven summits really made me admire him and his accomplishments.

    They said only Mount Everest eluded him, as bad weather forced his party to give up one day before reaching the summit. but it's not entirely true. Though it did keep him from reaching the summit that year, it kept dick bass from doing the same. So they made plans to climb it a year later, after they had done all 6 other climbs. The whole amount of expeditions up to that point had taken a year and a half out of his and his family's life. So 3 mountains from their goal, his wife gave him an ultimatim: The Seven Summits and she divorces him and takes the kids, or he quits when he completes his origional planned expeditions and misses out on Everest, stopping at 6. He chose his family, obviously.

    I understand why she did it I guess, but damn, that's some cold shit :(
