Nah, not even SOE can turn that evil... or can they?

Large patch yesterday was a massive reworking of game mechanics that pissed off the large majority of the dedicated crafting folks.
It also had a few 'minor' side effects. Such as a long list of 20+ quests that got reset to the beginning if your character had them as an active quest. They offered their apologies that they could do nothing about this for those that were affected.
Granted the patch fixed a huge amount of bugs and brokenness that have been around since beta, but they also snuck debilitating game mechanics changes in as well, in an effort to slow down the power gamers and to try to keep the higher than expected leveling curve in check.
So it's kinda dumb to start charging you for that. However I think these extra zones are you usually done in expansion packs so if their going to start offering them for a very "small fee" outside expansion packs then it might not be so bad.
As long as they still give the normal updates you expect from an mmorpg and they did just release a pretty big content patch yesterday (two dungeons and tons of extra solo quests)

Regardless, I don't play this, nor do I plan to anytime soon. Cool engine and effects during combat. Watching my friends play it seemed more enjoying than actually playing it.
