Personally... I think this has no chance of being any good as a PvP expansion. COH was not designed with PvP in mind. I played COH for a month, and while it is good straight forward MMORPG, it would take major changes to the COH side to make it viable in PvP. None of the archtypes require any variation or thought to play. You have your set combo that you use EVERY time. There is little to no strategy involved (besides pulling, which doesn't work in PvP anyway) in single or group fights. WoW isn't there quite yet, but I can see how the PvP could have some depth to it in group fights. I don't see that happening in COH/COV. They are going to have a lot of problems. Just one example: How is Phase Shift going to work in PvP? ANYONE can have a get out of jail free card, whenever they want it, however often they want it? That just won't work...

I've yet to find a MMORPG that is like this, but I would love to see a game that had PvP with depth similiar to a lot of the arcade fighting games.

Sounds like they are taking their PvP cue from the ideas behind WoW PvP, i.e. honor loss for killing lowbies, protected zones but pvp techincally allowed anywhere.
