Sven Co-Op Update

It is mentioned that co-op support for the Half-Life 2 single-player campaign is their top priority, but they're also working on features for newly created co-op maps.
Cooperative support for the Half-Life 2 single-player storyline is something that has been requested by a great many people, and as such, it is one of our priorities. Some changes to the maps will be necessary in order for cooperative play to work smoothly, but we will strive to keep things as true to the original experience as we can (another thing that has been heavily requested). Partly in the interests of this -- and also due to performance issues, balancing issues, and the fact that the maps were simply not designed with large player counts in mind -- the maximum player count for HL2SP maps will likely be fairly low. Higher player counts will be supported for cooperative maps.In related news the team is looking for an additional programmer to help with the mod, read the entire update here.

#6: Nope, we got the SDK at the same time as everyone else (a few days ago, at the same time HL2DM was released). We were talking with Valve quite a bit last year, but from around the time of the HL2 leak/release date slip, we didn't hear much from them anymore. They've just contacted us again recently, though, so we'll see what happens.
#9: Yup, it's completely mapper-defined (and optional).
#11: We'll be adding multi-seated vehicles, but most likely not in the first release. Adding them in later releases won't mean it'll be longer until people are able to use them, just that they have something to play while they wait.

I wonder how they will handle scenes with the gunships, would be pretty easy/quick to take down with 2 or more people. How did they handle stuff like that in Sven for HL? Were there more enemies or did they do more damage to you? Something's gotta give ;)
