I've applied my super-secret shuffling algoritm and everyone is now assigned another person. Good times. So I figure this is as good a time as any to review the guidelines, as far as legitimate items go:

- No used hygiene items. That's kind of gross.
- Nothing dangerous or illegal that could get someone hurt or in trouble.
- Nothing ALIVE. How would you like being shipped to some random nerd?
- I almost want to say "no videogames", but I'll leave that as a suggestion as I'm kind of hoping to create a more "off the wall" sort of vibe for this thing.

Another one that came up in conversation last week was perisable food items. I don't suppose this is such a good idea either. Oh and no poop. Seriously.

For those suckers who happened to be assigned to a person overseas, and those overseas, I realize that shipping is more expensive and takes longer, so don't worry so much about timing. But it would be nice if you did actually send something. There are plenty of things you can send on the cheap. USPS does a good job of getting stuff to the civilized parts of the world, and they're probably your best bet as far as cost goes.

ALSO!!!! This weekend, I will be setting up a gallery on my webspace for the posting of whatever you recieve, so everyone can share in the roofles.

If anyone has any questions or concerns about this whole retarded project, please feel free to post 'em here, or shackmessage me. Good luck and have fun!

HL2 MOD IDEA!

Last nite a me and one other guy were tossing some junk around with nothing but grav guns just playing catch in the City Map. Then the thought came to me what if I made a HL2 Tennis mod where you have nothing but grav guns and you would be chucking around those electricity balls that follow you around and annoy you or those balls that shoot out of Combine Assult Rifle. Of course I would have to figure out the scoring system and how to put some kind of GOD mode on so if you get slaped with something you dont die. Wind current would also play a factor into it too. I would probably have it where you can only choose from 2 or 4 players. I dunno Im just TOSSING this idea around.

Attention software developers, and especially game developers:

You folks need to start working on some kind of next-generation progress bar technology. Progress bars that zip to 90% in the first 5 seconds, take 10 minutes for the next 9%, and stick on the last 1% for an hour and a half are no longer acceptable. We've all gotten over the novelty of merely having a progress bar; now we'd like to have progress bars that actually give you some indication of how much progress you've made. So have a focus group or intervention or whatever you guys do and get on it... you'll revolutionize the industry and become heroes to top it off.

Hay Shack!!

I went and looked at new Audi's today. Specifically the 2005 A4 Special Edition 1.8T. Real cool, has the Premium Package (leather, sunroof, heated seats, 6disc in-dash) and Sport Package (17in wheels, upgraded suspension, 6 speed) at a discounted price, along with an S4 spoiler.

They are offering a deal on this car, $1500 down, $299/mo lease for 42 months. 10k/yr lease (not a big deal, dont drive far, can upgrade it to 15k if necessary).

I have a couple questions as I've never done the lease thing, or bought a car from anyone other than a private party.

1)I have a 2000 Grand Marquis (paid off). Edmunds estimates this car to be worth anywhere from 6-8,000 on trade-in. I'm assuming this would just be worth the down payment and lease startup fees (as well as tax, title, etc). So this would also lower my monthly lease payment, correct? Would it also lower the price of the car if I wanted to buy it out at the end of the lease?

2)With all of my bills figured (everything, food, gas, cell, etc), everything comes to about 66% of my net income. I've heard recommended numbers before, does this sound about right, or way too much?

Firefox Help!!

I had the PR1 installed before I installed 1.0, and I made some changes to the about:config that was in the readme that I think is causing the "critical updates" icon to show in the upper right. (next to the circle thing, under the x to close the program)

Does anyone know how to completely wipe this program off my system? I've tried reinstalling but just end up with the same result every time, along with my favourites and extensions intact, despite having deleted the entire Firefox directory (I thought this program was self contained?)

So how do I get rid of this shit to start fresh?
