We added an option that you might want to try that may fix stuttering problems for some people. We didn't get enough testing on this particular fix to risk everyone running it by default quite yet:
To enable:
1) Right clip on game (Half-Life 2) in the Steam "Play Games" menu.
2) Select "Properties"
3) Select "Launch Options"
4) Add:
+snd_async_prefetch_priority 1
to your launch options.
Feedback appreciated.

Adding the "+snd_async_prefetch_priority 1" command to mine improved things alot, still not 100% but a great improvement.
The places where it still stutters are mostly when breen is on the screens talking, such as at the beginning and in water hazard. It also does it during autosaves, but for less time.
I also seem to be having these weird moments where the frame rate drops for a second at no particular time for no reason.
Will there be furthur "stuttering" fixes or is this considered fixed now?
Cheers tho, its alot better than before.
