Battlefield 2 Preview

The preview also includes a Q&A about things like Linux and dual monitor support, and there's new media as well.

It seems that the BF2 engine can't do forests :(
All in all, looks more like a graphics/physics DC mod, but, who knows. Maybe there's more to BF2. Time will tell...

I wish they would allow you to change your kit out in the game at specific points or at some type of deployable inventory type station. Also the ability to take weapons and ammo off of dead bodies, been awhile since I played BF but I don't recall that being in there.
I hope they made the helicopters easier to fly, I never could get the hang of it in desert combat, or atleast offer an option (easy fly mode - with less manuvarability, and a realistic mode where you can pull off fancier ones) I doubt they'll bother though.

That said, the game looks amazing. Those videos are incredible. I love BF as well as Desert Combat and this is going to be a fantastic blend of gameplay, physics and huge massive multiplayer battles.
Can't wait till next year... and it's a good thing I upgraded my system for HL2, it looks like I'm going to need it. :)
