Chick Question for the Shack (because I don't trust my own judgements anymore)

Backstory: I'm in this History class that's nearly all freshman, I'm 26 and while no-one here believes I look that old, I know I don't put off a freshman vibe. In any case, there are real live girls in this class, and some of them are cute. They don't really talk to me and I don't go out of my way to get their attention.

The Setup: Tonight a buddy and I went to Wal-Mart for a few groceries and such when I see like 4 parking spots away there was a girl from my History class. And she's a cute one, I'd never talked to her or anything, but she sits pretty close to me and we'd at least glanced at each other a few times (and she didn't make a face or anything negative, woot). That's the extent of our interactions up to this point.

She's practically walking with us into the place, and she's on a cell phone talking to someone. I try to pay no attention, but I look over at her as she makes this statement rather loudly into her phone; "I'm just not meeting any guys here!". I kind of smile and look away, not sure what to do with that. She actually looked me in eye as she said she wasn't meeting guys here.

The Question: I've got one class with her this week, it's tomorrow, then we're out on break. Do I say something like hello or some other greeting tomorrow? I don't want to come off too weird or too anything else negative but that's almost too good to operate on, I think. So what would the Shack do?

(note: I'm not *that* neurotic as it might seem from reading this, just trying to use a little humor to explain my deal)

Now, as to how how I became involved:

Last night (11/19/2004, approximately 11:20pm, for myself) I and a number of other users reported that our virus shields had been alerted to the fact that the I-WORM/BOFRA virus had been detected on our machines, upon visiting your front page (where a number of banner ads are placed, and are responsible, as you will soon read below). See this thread (there are also a few others in the comments from that night):

Today (11/20/2004), my Zone Alarm firewall alerted me to the fact that a file called "kmsueybv.exe" (created 11/19/2004 11:20pm) was trying to access the Internet. Having never seen this request before and sensing a suspicious filename, I immediately denied access. I posted my question
to www.dslreports.com's security forum (please read my thread here: http://www.dslreports.com/forum/remark,11916839~mode=flat#11917055 ), and submitted the file for analysis to Kapersky Anti-virus labs. The .exe file turned out to be infected by "Backdoor.Win32.Agent.ec" (info about it here: http://www.f-secure.com/v-descs/agent_ce.shtml )

It was a trojan horse RA tool. I have since deleted this file, and
searched my drive for other files with the time stamp of 1/19/2004
11:20pm. I have since turned up a few more files also infected by this trojan and deleted them.

Anyways, the point is it would appear your banner ads have been
exploited and are unkowningly spreading these trojan files via malicious code and IE exploits. Considering the amount of traffic the Shack gets and the number of users (1000+ registered at most times of day, plus who knows how many lurkers), I do believe you should take these ads offline (for non-mercury users) until this situation has been resolved, or at the very least ensure they contain "clean" code.

Holy shit, episode 5 of Battlestar Galactica owned. The characters in this series are so seriously flawed and human, it reminds me of A song of fire and ice for some reason. Spoiler question: What the fuck is up with Helio on Caprica? I'm almost totally sure he's also a Cylon but doesn't realize it yet

As WoW gets closer I find myself completely clueless to what I want to be in game. I mean none of the classes really jump out at me. I've always been inclined to mages, but class like the Hunter, Druid, and Shaman also intrigue me.

So what I am asking is what class is everyone leaning torwards, and if you feel like it why? Beta impressions would be helpful as well.

So I am thinking about getting a digital camera. I don't need anything all that fancy, just something to take pictures of friends, family, events, nws, and whatever else may crop up. I am looking in the $150-250 range, and whenI was browsing the cnet reviews I came across the Konica Minolta Dimage Xg, which seemed like it would fit my needs. Does anyone have any experience with this camera, or konica's in general, or perhaps some other model that they would recommend?

PL/SQL help needed:

I'm trying to create a role for a user where only part of a table they have access to, for example:

customer table contains, first name, last name, address, customer #

I only want this role to be able to see First Name, Last name, and Address

Anyone know how to do this?

You know, i think theOC is jumping the shark already.

I liked the first season. The finale kinda sucked what with the whole baby plot, but the chicks were hot and there were some really funny shackerish moments. (how many times did i hear lines that sounded straight off of this site.. the writers are shackers i swear!)

But meh, now its just turned into some stupid show about really pointless relationships. They need to DO stuff, and have plots centered around events like they did before.

Also, the chicks arent as hot this year (the new girl is cute though)

So, foolishly, I tried the 4.12 cat betas recently. Windows says they wouldn't load properly and I got a 4 colour display at 640x480. So I downgrade to the 4.11 drivers - HL2 now stutters every few seconds. I swear to god it never ends - before it was Thief 3 problems which they didn't fix through countless driver revisions. The ATi driver team should be shot, and if I wasn't skint right now I'd be buying a 6600 in a flash. I just hope it all works well again when I roll back to the 4.10s.

Mine was the 'tour' of the citadel as you ride around in the pod... i just sat there in awe. The sound of the pod itself going along the track was creepy too.
