1As you'd expect from a game that's due to show up in stores on the 11th, DreamCatcher Games today announced that Painkiller: Battle Out of Hell has gone gold. The expansion pack comes with an updated game engine, 10 new singleplayer levels, and various new multiplayer maps & modes.

But seriously... would you want to launch an expansion pack right in between 2 of the biggest FPS launches in gaming history?
I have a feeling this game will be one of many casualties of this overcrowded retail season. I'll most likely be picking this up, but probably not for quite some time.
