IGN has put together a neat little guide about all the hardware and furniture upgrades necessarry to make the Metroid Prime 2: Echoes experience an unforgetabble one. Anyone else here have plans to upgrade their living room in anticipation for a console game? I basically bought a whole new comp for DOOM3 and I have read a few of you picking up an HDTV for Halo 2; what else is going on out there? I once purchased a nice set of front speakers and a fancy receiver along with the Resident Evil remake on the GameCube; I wanted to make sure I'd be scared shitless.

Console Game of the Evening: Scud: The Disposible Assassin for the Sega Saturn. "Being a fan of the comic book, I rented a Saturn just to play this. I donâ??t know if it was the system or the disc, but I had to play through most of it in black and white, sometimes shades of bright orange and violet. (submitted by BrodieMan)

  • Weird, on the frontpage the console game of the evening has a load of garbage instead of an apostrophe:

    don’t

but when viewed on the comments page (here) there is an apostrophe, although it isn't the usual straight-down one, it's the "9" version.

Either way, me thinks someone's been writing web-text on a Mac somewhere along the line (they always seem to be involved with these weird characters instead of " and ' marks, I guess due to trying to do 66/99 quotes that don't work on the web, at least not that way). Or is it people using Word or similar rather than something specific to pasting text from a Mac?
