I may be in the minority here, but I really liked being a character in SWAT3. It seemed a whole lot more real when you knew that your ass was on the line as well as your teams'. The whole "possess any character you want" ala Rainbow Six thing doesn't do it for me as much.

however this game is definatly looking like its going to kick some ass. Graphics are stellar, Irrational is sticking with the "Police Simulator" type format. This game is on my wish list. I played SWAT 3 til I thought I was a cop
