There was some discussion earlier in the comments about the best intro for a game which instantly brought to my mind the intro for Chrono Cross. For me, the song seals the deal as it gave me goosebumps when it switches up the pace. It's called ~Time's Scar~, by the masterful Yasunori Mitsuda, and one of my favorite tracks to ever come from a videogame. For me, I link music to the experience I'm going through at the moment and that just left an indelible mark on me. Xbox Halo 2 Reaches 1.5 Million Preorders Comparing the eventual "touchdown" of Halo 2 to that of Neil Armstrong walking on the moon, Microsoft announced that Halo 2 has eclipsed 1.5 million pre-orders in the United States. The company is expecting for day one sales to "be the biggest 24 hours for a video game title in retail history and is projected to bring in more revenue than any day one box office blockbuster movie in the United States," according to Peter Moore, corporate vice president of worldwide publishing and marketing for Xbox.

Gamers can can pick up the combo pack for $39.99. “With the release of The King Of Fighters 2002 and 2003 combo pack and KOF: Maximum Impact for the PS2 this fall, our very loyal fans and new players being introduced to KOF should be very happy this holiday season." said Ben Herman, SNK NeoGeo USA Consumer Corporation President. The Xbox version, however, is a 2005 release.
GCN Two New GameCube Bundles Announced for UK Hey, we're all about bundles tonight! If you live in the UK and are considering picking up a GameCube, two new deals are now laid before you. First you can nab a platinum colored console packed in with Mario Kart: Double Dash for the same standard price of £79 or purhcase a black console with Pokemon Colosseum and a memory card for £89. Both packages will be available November 12 with the Mario Kart bundle arriving a week earlier on the 5th.
PS2 GCN WWE Files Suit Against THQ, Jakks Over Game License The WWE has filed suit against THQ and Jakks-Pacific, the current holders of the rights to produce WWE videogames, claiming the company used bribery, among other schemes, in order to secure the game license. GameSpot's Chris Kohler says that the gist of the lawsuit is that WWE's licensing agent took bribes to give the game license to Jakks even when superior offers were on the table from THQ and Activision. In the end, to skirt suspicsion, THQ and Jakks came to a joint agreement for the license. WWE wants the license nullified since most of this took place without WWE management knowing of it.
PSP EA's "Secret" PSP Launch Titles Revealed Last night, Team Fusion's Warren Wall was a bit cryptic about two of its six PSP launch titles, not revealing their names or any details about them. Well, during an EA investor conference call, CEO Larry Probst revealed titles based off the MVP Baseball and FIFA Soccer series will round out the launch lineup. He said the games were ready for the March quarter, but a delay into April or beyond may be looming.
