Evening Reading
by Steve Gibson, Oct 13, 2004 6:23pm PDTSo being completely non-political all my life I've somehow managed to sit through both debates so far and plan to watch the third one tonight. I cant say it's terribly fun or interesting to me but it's about time I exercised that right to vote of mine that I havent in a while. Whoever you support, I encourage you guys and gals in the US to vote in this election as the global implications of what is happening in our country just seems to keep on growing. Ok thats it, back to the goofyness:

I'm pretty confused by this. Does that mean I have to run it in a RAID configuration(two drives)? I only ordered one. Also, I plan to use an older IDE HD I have as well. Can you use both?
Yeah, I should have found this out before I ordered :/

Overall figures aside, Interplay also touched upon recent deals made, and its future. To that end, the company first and foremost revealed that the recent Fallout 3 deal to develop it for all platforms was made for $1.175 million. Interestingly enough, it was revealed that the deal also gives Bethesda the option to develop a “Fallout 4†and “Fallout 5†for $1.0 million minimum guaranteed advance against royalties per sequel. The finer points of the deal also, while Bethesda has the rights to other genres, still gives Interplay the ability to develop a massively multiplayer game in the Fallout universe. For those wanting the exact words, the following was said.
“Bethesda also has an option to develop two sequels, FALLOUT 4, and FALLOUT 5 for $1.0 million minimum guaranteed advance against royalties per sequel. Interplay retained the rights to develop a massively multiplayer online game ("MMORPG") using the Fallout Trademark.â€Â

HL2 Gold Rumors
rizzuh @ 3:37 pm pdt - half-life, hl2 & tf2 - 115 comments - hot topic
We at CS-Nation are seeing a large under-current of information that strongly leans toward the possibility of Half-Life 2 going gold very shortly. Information points to an official announcement from VU Games or Valve Software tomorrow, but — as with all rumors — our sources could be completely wrong. Rumors usually don't turn out well for us, but at least they allow for hilarious comment threads where everyone flames each other.

Now I find myself unable to stop making instant diet Lipton lemon iced tea. It's so good, with just 5g of sodium. Does anyone know if this stuff is fairly pure, or is it pretty artificial? I hear tea has a lot of caffiene, so I wonder if this is going to keep me awake.

I typed a pretty important FedEx tracking number into the FedEx web page, tracked the package and got my results. When I installed the Google desktop search, it closed FireFox (I agreed to let it close firefox) and I lost the tracking number.
However, that fedex results page should be somewhere in my history, but I can't find it. FireFox cache seems to be just weird files. My "web page forms history" isn't viewable in any direct way. And I've tried typing different numbers in the fedex tracking box hopeing that it would pull something up from my form history.
Any ideas?
It's really not the end of the world if I can't get it back, but it could save me a few hours of driving around etc if I can figure out when this package gets delivered.
