everytime i make popcorn, its really tastey and awesome. Except it doesnt stay hot very long. And as im sure you are all aware, popcorn temperature has been scientifcly corrolated with popcorn tastiness.

So, whats a good container to put hot popcorn in to keep it hot while eating?

Halo 2 Soundtrack announced

Although track details are unclear the soundtrack, for some unknown reason, it will reportedly feature music from groups including: Nile Rodgers, Incubus, Hoobastank and Breaking Benjamin. The Halo 2 soundtrack will be in stores by November 11th, 2004. Halo 2 the game will ship throughout North America on November 9th, 2004, for the Xbox.

Photographers in the house? I'm getting a lens for my Canon D60 (digital). Assume it is the only lens I will be using.

Priorities;
- As wide-angle as possible
- As fast as possible (F2.8)
- Less than $350, atleast
- Canon original is good, not required

If my budget was twice as high, I'd doubtlessly get a 17-40L F4, or if even twice that a 16-35L F2.8 which is the lens I've been borrowing for the last year but belongs to my brother. I'm used to using the best L lenses, so I'm not sure how much I'd like cheaper Sigma or Tamron lenses for example.

This is the one I'll be buying unless I find any reasons not to. I'd like a zoom, but it's more important to get wide-angle, which will actually be a lousy 38,5mm in my case thanks to the 1.6x crop factor of the camera. Image quality is spot-on though. Am I wrong in getting this?

What should I be doing to make my XBOX games look awesome. I have the xmen legends game right now... I have 1080i or 540 to choose from. 4:3 or 16:9. And I have the AV Xbox pack. But I switch through all those and nothing really changes.

Any suggestions?

I finally got around to playing the Rome: Total War demo last night.

I mostly liked it. The music, graphics, and controls were excellent. One thing I don't like, though, is the camera. I feel like I'm either zoomed way in and can only see a few dozen troops battling it out, or I'm zoomed way out and can only see little red and blue ants on the field. The in-between zooms do little for me.

Other than that it seemed very solid, and I'm impressed by the smoothness. It didn't chug at all on my average rig.

it would really be super-rad if you guys could help me with my stats project. the idea here is that i need to take a sample survey of some type of quantitative data, any topic. well, being the dork that i am, i chose video game scores. if you want to help, and i would be totally

X-Files season 5, the 1st 3 episodes were awesome (plus the last one from season 4). and wide screen to boot ahhhhhhhhh. I don't know if Chris Carter had a plan from the start but the story arc from season 1 to 5 is amazing. The introduction of the Lone Gunmen episode was brilliant, especially considering the 3 episodes it came inbetween. I guess it would have been ass watching it over 5 years instead of about 3 months (what I've just done) though.

So if the movie comes at the end of season 5, I'm asuming the last episode is a to be continued. So do I watch the last ep of season 5 then the 1st of season 6 and then the movie or what's the deal?

The software giant is asking the Court of First Instance to put punishments on hold while it appeals the case. The EC ruled in March that Microsoft had abused its monopoly position and should pay a record-breaking fine of Ã¢Â‚Â¬497m, provide better access to its server protocols and offer a version of Windows without Media Player.

You know, occassionly something happens here on base that reminds me of the maginitude of what I'm doing.

Fort Leonard Wood is what's known as a "Power Projection Platform". It's one of the places that the Army sends troops to train, equip and load for movement to a wartime theater. It's a heavily wooded area, so the uniform is standard woodland BDUs. Right now though, as you can imagine, we are sending lots of troops to desert areas, so seeing DCUs (Desert Camo) isn't unusual.

I was coming back from lunch yesterday, turned a corner in the battalion area, and drove right into the middle of an unmounted combat patrol. One of the MP or Infantry units that is being mobilized was suited up in their body armor and load carrying equipment and weapons, and practicing moving silently using hand signals. They chose our area because it somewhat mimics Iraq in the layout of the buildings and streets. It makes me wonder what must be going through those troops minds knowing that they will be in harm's way soon, and again proud of the type of person that chooses voluntarily to be a soldier.
