Placed an order online, so hopefully I'll finally have the expansion some time next week. We're having some problems with the FileShack Los Angeles server, so it's out of rotation at the moment. It's probably going to be a few days until it returns, our apologies to those who use it as their first choice server. Also on FileShack

I just patched it up to SP2 and it has this cool feature that lets me try antivirus software for free, which one should I pick?
I send a couple of light infantry merc units in first with a battering ram, with my velites bombing javelins over the walls. The ram gets through and I charge into the city. The mercs get jammed up right at the gate and aren't making any progress against the barbarians, so I let slip the dogs of war, literally. Like 80 dogs go running into the melee and pretty soon the barbarians are running for the town center to make a final stand. The dogs keep chasing them so I send the mercenaries along for the run, and the battle is pretty much over from that point on.
The puppies got the kill on the enemy general too. Looks pretty freaky seeing 50 or 60 dogs climbing all over a formation.
I love this game.

He's gotten on base on his first three appearances today (all walks) against the Dodgers. This last one finally cost the Dodgers cuz it led to a bases load situation and a sac fly scored a run.

My team is travelling to Camp Randall this evening (game time in about an hour). I hope to hope, but I can only hope so much. Great faith in Linebacker U. Go State.
As for the Steelers, they probably play tomorrow night against a befuddled Dolphins team. It is rookie Ben Roethlisbergers first start following an ouchie for Tommy Maddox. He went to Miami (OH) and his first start is in Miami (FL)??? I sense too much coincidence.

Stanford first took the lead early into the second quarter, 14-10.
And then they get a fumble recovery after a SICK hit on a USC receiver which caused the ball to pop out, which led to a touchdown. 21-10.
USC leads a great drive down the field and scores a touchdown with a minute left in the half. 21-17.
Stanford's RB breaks an 82 yard run as time expires to score a touchdown, and lead the game at halftime 28-17.
Phew, what a second quarter.. the game's on TBS if any of you Shackers get it, but it's halftime right now.

I have a list of games here, 53 to be exact. All from the PC. I plan to sell them either on eBay or at the local Gamestop/EBGames. What is a fair price to ask for this 'collection', and/or what can I expect to get from selling them to a retailer?
My guess was ~$3 a game....
Anyone have a better guess?

The following story is not for the squeamish, you have been warned.
I'm a second year college student who lives in the dorms. My floor is involved in many intramural activities ranging from flag football, to curling, to soccer. The story in question has to do with my floor's intramural soccer team (which I'm not a part of). Our floor had a match against another team recently and a horrible thing happened that game. The guy on our floor who played goalie, let's call him "John," suffered a horrendous injury brought on by a person on the opposing team. Supposedly a member on the opposing team, let's call him "Gary" had started a rivalry of sorts with John during the game. I'm not sure the specifics regarding this rivalry only that Gary was acting aggressive towards John. At some point during the game Gary ends up (somehow) kneeing John right in the crotch.
Yes, a knee right to the crotch. John got knee'd right in the crotch by a member of the opposing soccer team. I'm not sure if it was on accident (I wasn't there, this info was relayed to me by a good friend) and Gary tried taking a shot at the goal but completely messed up or if Gary had an agenda against John and went too far.
John was in extreme pain and had to be sent to the emergency room where the doctor's were forced to remove one of his testicles because it had ruptured so badly. He now only has one testicle but supposedly he was given a "45 min speech" on what his options were (he could have an implant that would make things look more normal). John's life is now permantenly changed and he's going to have to live with this for the rest of his life.
So, is the moral of the story is to wear a cup in contact sports? Can John press charges against Gary who may have done this intentionally? Thoughts?
I feel really bad for John, such a horrible horrible thing to have happen. Intramural sports should be about having fun, not be so competitive that you're out for blood. Another guy on my floor (pretty small guy, around 120 lbs at most) was playing in a flag football match and was intentionally tackled by two guys on the opposing team and he had to be sent to the emergency room because his should had been dislocated.

Now I'm working on two more lists. One is "all the things I ever wanted and never got". First item on that list is the Nintendo I wanted back when they first came out when I was in grade school. My parents were dead set against it. Partly for two reasons. One is the media back then said things like kids would play it too much and make bad grades or some nonsense like that. The other is, back then, TV was the entertainment source. Everyone watched it. Had my sister and I had that Nintendo, my parents wouldn't have gotten to watch TV.
My second list is "all the things I would do if I had money". This list is twice as long as the other.
On the other side of the paper, I've been brain storming ideas about making money.
I'm hoping all this will lead me somewhere..

the first time after install everything ran just fine. from then on, every time I tried to play it gave me a black screen and just sat there. uninstalled now, there didn't seem to be a way to get it to run again.

we headed to mcmenamin's for dinner and on the way we saw a crapload of police, medics, and other emergency people at the mcdonalds (south everett, 128th st. style).
at dinner, service was poor. we headed back 2 hours later. EVERYONE WAS STILL THERE.
turns out the cops shot a bank robbery suspect right in front of about dozen people eating dinner at mcdonalds. lol.
