SHACK:RAID WoW Stress Test Finale Writeup of DOOM
TLDR: It was awesomely fun :)
Firstly: Read the text, it's the best part.
Secondly: I don't have a lot of combat shots, for obvious reasons :)
Thirdly: Sorry about the quality, my webspace sucks :\
Fourthly: The writeup is a bit abbreviated, it's late :)
Fifthly: Pictures may not be contextually accurate :)
Shackraid: A New Hope
As the time to raid drew nigh, I decided that I should make off for the crossroads, which I did. I got on the zeppling and headed to Durotar, in the Barrens.

Shackraid: The Main Train of a Magnitude Greater than Genjuro's Level of iSuck
Once there, I met with a teeming, dancing group of shackers and assorted other people, many of whom would come and raid with us (and /yell a lot). The pre-raid festivites were very entertaining, albeit a bit confusing.

The people who saw our group were quite overwhelmed :). Eventually, we set out, and the maintrain began, led by the fearless egofumpapa (Tajomaru).

Shackraid: Dominance Abroad
From the crossroads, we entered into Ashenvale, I believe.
http://home.earthlink.net/~harleymetcalfe/WoW_Mantrain.jpg
There we came upon a couple of random enemies, who quickly fell to us, as Ashenvale is contested (free combat) territory. We took egofumpapa's shortcut around a town (and through spiders), and we came upon some organized resistance from around 6/7/8 enemies. They were steamrolled :)

Onwards we marched, smashing all enemies (and watching people flee :) ), until we entered Night-Elf territory, in which combat can only take place if they attack us first, and there are NPC gaurds. We entered, and encountered some organized resistance, but beat them off like prepubescent wang.

The man-train then entered a Night Elf town of a name that I don't remember; it continued rolling along until...

Shackraid: A Bridge Too Far
Tajo was leading us across the bridge when we were descended upon by rabid ?? (very high level) NPC's.

We were summarily Slaughtered. All of us. It was death to our machines and our connections. Half an hour of confused respawning ensued, after which the GCR was spread out and about across the elven landscape. We began to regroup as Night Elven resistance banded together to finish us off.

The battle, however, was far from over.
Shackraid: WoWetnam
After we came to our feet, so to speak, we engaged a campaign of subterfuge and brutal guerilla warfare. Fighting ensued all over the Night Elven landscape, and Shackers came from enough directions at enough places to disrupt and destroy their resistance, who respawned into confusion, much in the manner we did earlier. The Night Elves, I must mention, had one ?? level player character on their team named Vxy; Vxy was a badass mofo, but, at times, couldn't stand against the power of the Shack. I believe I killed him the first time.
Shackraid Attrition
Now ensued hours of guerilla warfare; Shackers banded into small groups and did their best to kill tons and tons of Night Elves. Ambushes and Counter-Ambushes abounded.

Egofumpapa (Tajomaru) must have killed 30 or so on his own. Common tactics were to send a low level character (read: me) into the road, to lure a Night Elf(s) into attacking it. Once this happened and the Night Elf became hostile, GCR's (Giant Communist Robots, if you don't know by now. also read: shackers) would descend from the woods and hand them a healthy beatdown. It's not to say that I didn't die a bit, but my group, along with other shackers, killed a ton of Night Elves during this anarchic time. It was quite entertaining :) Rogues such as myself sneaked around in stealth mode, and warrior characters hid behind rocks, trees, and other obstacles as we carefully chose our prey.

Eventually, the action began to wind down, and I decided that I needed some food. I bid the WoW stress test a very fond farewell, hoping to return sometime soon :).
