Tribes: Vengeance Demo Released

The graphics are really well done, bloom effect on lights and great water effects. Texture detail is great and the models looks great, especially faces. The sound is good and the music was good and never took control of the everything you heard. The level wasnt entirely big since it was a Gladiator type onslaught of enemys in an arena, but it was fun having your teammates getting the turrents and leading enemies into them.
Teamwork was a bit scripted, but it felt great none the less. The physics are both well done like when an enemy goes down their body flings around since the jetpacks are still on. However they are also a bit loose as just a little bump into a corspe and send it flying back. The story seemed intriging despite only a small cutscene. Irrational is a great company at making singleplayer games and stories (System Shock 2, Thief) so I have trust the rest of the singleplayer game will be great.

This game is pretty I guess, its nothing special up against any of the newer game/engines graphic wise.
Gameplay - doesn't do a thing for me, at all. I really hope the MP is better cuz that demo really ruined it for me. Absolute poo.
I loved tribes1/2 but this just doesnt do anything for me...
ya it looks nice and stuff but i dunno. Just meh..:(

i can't seem to find a good settings to make it feel comfortable... seems like the mouse accel or something is really off...
should i disable mouse accel in games?

The only thing i really remember about the game from previews was that there will be at least one set of missions where you end up playing two characters.
first you play the character who goes into a base to retrieve something, then you play the one who stayed behind to cover your back. the longer you take in the first mission, the longer you're going to have to hold off enemies on the second mission.
sounded pretty cool. I really haven't followed it much though.
