Phew, dodged a bullet there with that GTA delay. Same thing happened last time with Vice City; a one week delay for more polish. I think we've been pretty lucky this holiday season regarding delays; all of the biggest titles are still on track and what has been pushed back is still right around the corner after Christmas. Still, I know it must be hard for many of you (myself included) to decide which triple-A title to pick up first. I hope we can all shell out the $20 for Katamari Damacy, though.

PS2 Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas DELAYED The must-have game of October, Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas, has been pushed back until later this year. Later being only a week. Take-Two Interactive announced the delay in their third-quarter report stating, "The title's launch date was moved to allow additional time for final testing of the game, which exceeds the size, depth and scope of traditional videogames." The new date is October 26.
NDS Majesco Unveils New DS Game Majesco pulled the back curtain on their latest Nintendo DS title: Moonlight Fables. The official website gives a few details. The game follows the travels of a 19-year-old girl as she battles were-beasts who begin their rampage by attacking a theater. Moonlight Fables will make use of all the features of the DS: stylus input, dual screens, and wireless networking. Some preliminary art is available at the site.
PS2 Xbox GCN MK: Deception to Include Area 51 Demo Eager to try out the conspiracy-laden shooter Area 51? Then pick yourself up a copy of Mortal Kombat: Deception. HomeLAN Fed received confirmation today that the game will come packed with a playable demo of the alien shoot 'em up. Deception will release in October and Area 51 in February.
