I heard there was some thing that the NS team had against valve that meant they wouldn't do a source version. Anything in that?

I've been playing NS since the first beta, I was a mapper who worked with the dev team for about 6 months, and I've been in a couple of NS guilds. I can tell you with complete and total certainty that the guy who created NS (CC) is smart and a fairly decent person, but he can't judge character worth a shit. The people he brought on board to help run the community (and by that help shape the type of people who stick with the game for more than a couple weeks) are total, and let me repeat that for emphasis, TOTAL assholes. I've never played a game with such a stuck up and arrogant community of elitist fucksockets, and I've played CS and Everquest.

I eventually quit because getting online only to hear the idiodic chatter from cuntcaskets like Grendel (an NS forum mod who tried to DOS my network after I destroyed his credibility in a public NS chat) became too much to endure.

The game is GREAT, the community is total, TOTAL shit.

Nice release, aside from the spawn wave being far too long in large games (More than 20 secs= bad). And the Vacuum cleaner sound.. (er, Jet pack..)

God I wish they'd move this mod to the UT2k4 engine.

Where the hell is this comming from. Ive been following the development of NS for almost 2 years and this is the first ive heard such comments.

I doubt that. Over what would they have a spat about? I know that Valve decided not to "adopt" ns like they have done some other mods, but that doesn't mean there is anything personal to it.
