First to Fight Interview

The strategy wargame franchise was thought to be dead when developer Atomic Games closed down back in 2000, until it was revealed earlier this year that new games were forthcoming. Unlike its predecessors however, Close Combat: First To Fight will be a first person shooter. Destineer president Peter Tamte took the time to answer some questions about the game which is being released on PC, Xbox and Mac.
Shack: There are probably a lot of people who see this game and think Full Spectrum Warrior. Tell us what makes this game different. Peter Tamte: Full Spectrum Warrior is really a third-person RTS, while First to Fight is a 100% first-person shooter. With First to Fight, you'll get all the benefits of having a fire team that follows real military doctrine. But, unlike Full Spectrum Warrior, you'll also get thrown right into the thick of the action from a first-person perspective with your rifle out front and lots of threats for you to take out directly. I'll have to give it a look when I get home.
I'm curious if this is going to be a shooting gallery, with baddies popping over rooftops and in windows, or if I'll actually get to hunt them down, scary-like, through city streets and apartments.
