They're here: the first reviews of Fable. We've gone through the hype, we've seen the E3 trailers, and read the many near-final impressions. Is it the "best RPG ever?" According to IGN's Hilary Goldstein, the answer is that "it's not even the best RPG on Xbox." Don't fret, obviously it's hard to overcome the massively successful Knights of the Old Republic, and it appears Fable comes in a close second. Remember, these reviews are not the Bible, so let's not jump to conclusions. Two scores of 9.x are comforting as I was sincerely hoping this wasn't another Sudeki.

Xbox Just Add Monsters Working on Something "Revolutionary" The company responsible for Kung Fu Chaos, Just Add Monsters, has been hard at work on a "revolutionary" title for the past 18 months. Details are incredibly sketchy at the moment, but a source for GamesIndustry.biz has called the game "truly stunning and totally original." The game should feature combat and possibly online gameplay, but the biggest rumor is that this is an Xbox 2 launch title. Hopefully, more details will surface soon, but it's anticipated that this will be a major player at next year's E3.
PS2 GCN NubyTech Launches New Controllers A pair of fashioned controllers will be available soon from peripheral maker NubyTech. First up are the Street Fighter pads, which greatly resemble the old six-button Genesis pads. In the middle of the pad is holographic image that shows specific characters in three different frames of animation, such as Ryu charging up and releasing a fireball. The pad will be exclusive to the PS2. On the other hand, a pad for the PS2 and GameCube will sports everyone's favorite blue bomber, Mega Man.

It's fun reading about the game progressing each week as it gets closer and closer to being finished. With this update, Frankie talks a ton and it's quite apparent things are wrapping up very nicely.
