On S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Coop
by Maarten Goldstein, Aug 24, 2004 8:25am PDTComputer & Video Games has this news post on S.T.A.L.K.E.R: Shadow of Chernobyl, mentioning the game will support co-op..unfortunately not at release, as the feature is expected to be added by a patch. According to the story we can also expect a beta in a few months, before the game's early 2005 release.

The idea that there will eventually be coop in this game is just sex, plus I can't wait to see what the modders do with the engine. I could easily see a zombie apocalypse game made with this engine as it coudl easily render a downtown/suburban area that's all decimated and strewn with garbage/burning car husks etc.
Heh, 28 Days Later with heavy weapons. Yummy.
