On the official website and on FileShack you can find a trailer for Red Orchestra 3.0: Combined Arms, the latest version of the popular World War 2 mod for UT2004. Version 3.0 should be released August 27.

Looks good! It almost looks like the mod was a bit much for some of the PC's they recorded the demo on! :)

This mod is so very proffesional, I just couldn't get into the last one at all. It bored or annoyed me to tears in turn. :( I'll give 3.0 a go though but I'm not holding out hope, it just feels like they've sacrified everything for realism, including fun. :(

Is this the patch... seriously though, I wanted to like this game bu found it frustrating and boring. Hopefully they've listened to the community and made it a bit more friendly.

I really wanted to like Red Orchestra - when I played it back in it's UT2003 days, I was kind of hoping this would be the new "Day Of Defeat". It has alot of the right ingredients except a critical one - a thriving community. The amount of times I tried to have a game in v2.0 and found virtually no populated servers was a constant frustration. Most of the servers had about 4-8 people on - which to me doesn't convey a particularly good 'war' experience. So in the end, I uninstalled it in disappointment.

Maybe it'll pick up again once it gets released on UT2004 Editor's Choice edition - although I imagine that most people who wanted UT2004 have already long bought it.
