The 6800 GT is still the best deal for the money. That hasn't changed, even if these prove to be valid benchmarks. The GT still beats the X800 Pro at default clock speeds, and will o/c to Ultra levels. So, ATI still has some major problems with their line-up and pricing. Personally, i will wait for a real review site to run real benchmarks of Half-Life 2, not some half-ass benchmarking of the Source engine.
Somehow, I told ya so, doesn't quite cut it... ;)
They're comparing 6x AA on the ATI vs 8x on the nVidia. I mean sure, the ATI will still be faster, but that seems kinda weird...

I'm gonna invent a video card switcher that lets you switch between your ati and nvidia card (which you have to buy to play both game the way they were intended). Not only that I'm gonna get in the sack with id and valve and 3drealms (who will be supporting belkin's brand new line of 3d cards) and create the ultimate in bias. It will be called" "The doomed-tri-forever-life switchy thingy"

This is bullshit. I have a practically identical machine (with a 6800ultra) and get 110 fps (with 6x FSAA instead of 8xS, why they used 8xS I don't know). Did they leave it running in 60hz with vsync on or something?

No numbers for 6800 GT's, unfortunately, but they do have a vanilla 6800 and an X800 pro in the mix.

I think I could get more out of it too, if I had a newer CPU and not this old P4 2.4/533mhz.
