A couple of excited TRIBES players sent email about this forum post that has been picked up as indication that TRIBES: Vengeance is going to be moving to an open beta in the coming month (or months): Thanks Rick and Mike

[snip] ... date for the release of the open beta for Tribes: Vengeance. It is expected sometime this month, August, but that is subject to change if there are more bugs or other items that need fixing before it is released for testing.

hopefully they won't try and extort us into buying some crappy game they wasted 3 years developing, to get in on the beta of their newer better game.

Superior multiplayer gameplay is what the Tribes series delivers. I can't wait. I'll be flying over hills and skiing down the other side while most people are running around de_dust with new textures for the 30 billionth time.
