any wrt54gr}]* in the house? this thing is driving me insane. worked fine for the first month...now it's slow as shit. web pages take forever to load. i reset it...then it works fine for like 10min, then everything slows down to a crawl again. it picks up from time to time, but most of the time it crawls at loading pages.
DL speeds are fine though. can maz out my connection...just webpages. WTF? it's not my modem, cuz pages load lightning fast when i bypass the router and connect the comp directly to the modem.
also, is there anyway to see how many connections there are on my wifi network?

One PK4 file solves your problems!
This sets your keypad asterisk and keypad forward slash (KP_STAR and KP_SLASH in Doom3 cfg-language)
to functions that enable two different game graphic modes, singleplayer and multiplayer. Hit keypad slash and MP
settings are loaded, and the video system restarted to apply those settings. Hit keypad asterisk,
and the settings are reversed for singleplayer and once again, the video system is restarted to apply those
settings.
The .pk4 file includes 2 basic CFGs (sp.cfg, mp.cfg) that just switch on and off settings that are readily
avaliable in the menu. This is the singleplayer file for example(all the visual goodies on, basically), + documentation:

What we request now is a Vetern savegame from Alpha Lab Level 2. The game seems too easy, and the monsters just aren't as scary if they can't fuck you the hell up in one hit. If anyone could help us out, that would be wicked awesome and your karmic balance would definately go up.

The Inq sez that future ATI Catalysts may be based on the .NET framework, and would be distributed in a 40MB download package.
The ACE driver is almost 40MB, so a hefty download. And there is one other thing that you will have to download in order to make this driver work. You need .NET framework, an additional 23MB to prior driver download. So at least for the first use this driver was almost 65 MB download. Yes we have it and will let you know what we think of it in action.
One benefit of Microsoft’s .NET framework is that it will allow you to easily create plug-in extensions, if you can. The other thing is that Longhorn is based on the .NET framework. Do you think that we should start caring now about an OS that may come two years from now if we are lucky? ATI sure thinks we should.
So why exactly must a videocard driver be 40 megabytes in size when they were once below 6 MB? Furthermore, what BRAINDEAD coder over there decided that the .NET framework was worth using on a video driver? Or did they need the .NET framework just to do their NVidia-style sidebar selector widget without third-party code?
I was already sick of ATI and NVidia bundling Chinese Simplified and Thai language files into a driver package that was primarily going to be used in US English installations of Windows, but this takes the freakin' cake. Why the .NET framework on a driver?

this is another reason why i think soccer owns. you don't have to be a genetic freak to be good at it. i don't mean to bash other sports, because i love them all, but my skinny 5'9" frame would never allow me to compete in the olympic track team, nfl, nba, or nhl no matter how hard i trained.
soccer takes all types. just compare the body types of zidane, beasley, koller, cisse, bergkamp, rooney, campbell, puyol, saviola, ronaldo, owen, henry, ljungberg, vieria, and vieri. hell, just look at italy's central defense, probably the best in the world. nesta and cannavaro are very different in build, but both are world-class stoppers.
about the only exception is goalie, where it pays to have the strength and wingspan of a golden condor.
so as long as you're able-bodied, there's probably someone with your build playing professional soccer at a very high level. freddie ljungberg exactly matches my height and weight, and that's cool to me.

Microsoft releases the list of programs that "behave differently" with XP Service Pack 2 (the list is here: http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?kbid=884130 ). Among these are quite a few games, like UT/UT2003, StarCraft, WarCraft III collector's edition, Raven Shield, Serious Sam TSE, Max Payne 2, Tribes 2, and others. The only consolation offered by the Microsoft KB page is this: "...software vendors may have resolved some of these issues. Contact the software manufacturer or vendor for more specific details." Translation: "Wait for the patch, and go away. This access attempt has been logged. Have a nice day. We thank you for your cooperation."

For instance I do a ping www.shacknews.com -t -a and every 10th or so try I end up getting a time out. This is what was causing me to lawndart my P-51 Mustang tonight in the shackbattle.
Doing a tracert it seems hop3 after it leaves my modem appears to just give me * * * and the rest traces just fine. What exactly can I do to fix this or further troubleshoot it?

Single plaryer or multyplayer (both a plus).

Very, very annoying. You can use it EXACTLY the same each of those times but only one will (hopefully) register as a hit and knock their gun away or frag them if you're Berzerk.
Way to take the weakest weapon that might actually be fun in the dark or when sneaking up on someone (and cool for braggin' rights like knife kills in other gamse) and then make it impossible to use instead of skillful.
Like the Testarossa or the Countach.
Curious to see if they were relatively the same leap in price above everything else or if they were more or less accessable than they currently are.

1. ive now watched the entire series of firefly and i cant believe it was cancelled. i want to know what happens. so many interesting story lines set up, and the show was just so damn entertaining on its own anyway. how can the xfiles go for 9 seasons, with the last 2 being total shit, and buffy go for <insert number of buffy seasons in here>, while futurama, family guy and the amazing firefly not even add up to the number of seasons the xfiles ran for??? omg inana is hot and kaylee is fucking amazing hot
2. am i the only one who doesnt really get into 'console' style RPGs? maybe this is because of the pretty basic interaction outside of battles in this game in particular, but im just struggling to get into Final Fantasy X. I actually like Persona 2, but then that game has a much more interesting story line, and you can actually do stuff outside of walking three steps before hitting another cut scene or random battle. and this whole rock-paper-sissors thing in the battles really gets boring, and the skill table isnt looking like coming up with anything interesting any time soon. annoying characters and a cutesy story line with limited interation outside battles, strangely enough make me cold. but the Final Fantasy games are those stupid ones that you feel like you should like. but then, i dont like zelda or halo, so why not add another game to the 'im strange for not liking' list. anyone else like this?
3. having said that, gothic 2 is one of the best games/rpgs ive ever played. its so totally open and compelling to play to see what you can do and what could happen next. the guess work involved in battles when you get no information on an enemy until they smash you into tiny pieces is only really an issue early on, once you get a decent level of health and armor you can at least bolt if you are overpowered in most cases. its just an amazing game, and the inabilty to side step and move forward at the same time is easily tolerated. and the totally open story line with so many different things to do is just amazing. any fan of PC RPGs with a decent amount of patience for the early game should get a hold of it.
