Depending on performance and actual availability I might just have to go with a GeForce 6600 GT card. $199 for a videocard, that, I am willing to spend. Update: Of course, if I had actually read beyond any mentions of a price, I'd have noticed that these cards will be PCI Express-only at first. Fuck. Apparently the weather gods here have decided that our summer has lasted long enough, as we're back to rain now. I knew all of two weeks of sun was just too much. I'll be visiting my dad in France soon though, it should be a lot better there. Movie: You never told me about your cat-milking days in Motown.

Attention MSI K8N Neo Platinum owners:

If you're planning on overclocking with SATA drives attached, make sure you have them plugged into the SATA3/4 connectors. SATA1/2 seem to be hypersensitive to any overclocking attempts.

I'm a happy camper with this board now that I found this out!

Jesus. I have one facial whisker that will not be shaven properly. It's (I think) pointed upwards or something, or maybe sideways. I'll stroke my chin thoughtfully, and come across it, and want to pull it out. But when I do it hurts, more, waaaaay more than yanking one out of your head or off your arm. The ol' Mach 3 will take it most of the way, but I can't get it flush with the skin like all the other obedient bristles. Applying flame tonight, maybe try to sizzle the follicle to keep it from coming back. Ever.

CSS Q

Ok, here is the setup. I have one big box. Inside the big box I have two differant types of boxes:
1. sidebar
2. Article

What CSS and html would I need to set up where in the CSS file I can define the side the sidebar will be on ... and where the article boxes will not be under the sidebar, but hopefully will also "wrap around" the sidebar.

For instance say the sidebar only goes down to the middle of the 3rd article box ... so the 4th one should extend the "whole width" (which will not be 100%, but more like 90%).

was digging thru old uk pc gamer cover discs last night and found this old promo video / ad for DUKE NUKEM FOREVER ... its in lame bink video format, which is why its an .exe sorry ... i think this has been mentioned around here before but i dont know if its ever been posted. its probably freely available somewhere and im just wasting time.

... the game was looking pretty damn special back then (this was 1999 i think), and some of the player models and stuff looked very impressive. if the game looks current gen and can play like this looks when its released then it should be something pretty special.

Computah help

I got anew processor, mobo and ram today. Im using the old hard drives (2) from the old computer. Well everything booted up fine. When I go to try and install xp it copies the files over and then restarts. After it restarts it cant find the operating system to boot. You know how itll copy the files frmo the cd and then boot up to xp setup screen? Mine doesnt do that. I tried fixing the mbr, different cables, different jumper settings (instead of cable select actually setting to master and slave). Im really at a loss here as to what to do. Tried setting boot order for cd-rom then hard drive. Cleared CMOS. Help?

I think Doom3's NIGHTMARE difficulty setting is a bit too hard. I mean, sure, it is supposed to be hard. Its nightmare mode. However, having only 25 health is a serious handicap.

You get smoked by:
- 1 imp fireball. (direct hit)
- 2-3 shots from a zombie wielding a pistol.
- 1-2 shots from a zombie wielding a shotgun.
- 1 burst from a zombie wielding a machinegun.

All other (more powerful) creatures get a "1 shot, 1 kill" on your ass.

Maybe what I need is a difficulty level in between Veteran and Nightmare.

so i kind of run a business on the side, fixing computers and stuff and i would like to expand my client base and invest more time into it.

my question is: anyone have any recommendations for marketing a business? right now all the jobs i've had were via worth-of-mouth references.
