Late Night Consoling
by Alec Matias, Jul 23, 2004 8:00pm PDTI think I'm going to switch up the Misc. Q&As/Interviews by changing it to Misc. Q&As/Features. Plenty of sites update with cool content that isn't quite news, definitely not an interview, nor can it be classified as media. For instance, IGNPS2 tonight has a feature detailing their 12 favorite PS2 Greatest Hits. Other times, gamesindustry.biz has excellent write-ups on company or individuals, such as John Yamamoto, the new CEO of Square-Enix Europe. I'll give ya one more; GameSpy's "Everything We Know" series of articles, such as this one on the Nintendo DS. They're fun reads and you learn interesting things. Just a heads-up for you guys.
| | From Software Announces New Games Japanese developer From Software updated their website with the announcement of two new games. The first is called The Story of Hero Yoshitsune, a samurai title. Details were sparse, but the site described the game as a "turf-war action game," and it will arrive in Japan in January. The second game is a new installment in the Armored Core series, currently titled Armored Core: Nine Breaker. All that's been revealed about this one is an image that can be seen here. Both games are for the PS2. |
| | New F-Zero for GBA Reports coming out of Japan indicate that at a Nintendo product demo showing on August 1, the company will reveal a new title based on the F-Zero series for its Game Boy Advance. Right now, it appears the game will be titled F-Zero Climax, supposedly named after a national tournament Sega held in Japan last year. Also at the showing will be Pokemon Emerald and the new Fire Emblem. |
| | Bungie Weekly Update Doesn't it feel nice that you know, no matter what happens throughout the week, you'll always have Friday's Bungie Weekly Update? I know I do. Frankie does most of the talking this week as most of everyone at Bungie is extremely busy (appears to be crunch time!). He discusses the pretty skylines, his affection for video game water, placeholders, and even gets a snippet from Chris Carney about the bug count. |
| | Misc. Q&As/Interviews EuroGamer has a Q&A with Steve Gray, executive producer of The Lord of the Rings: The Middle Age as well as Chris Plumber who's working on GoldenEye: Rogue Agent. Experience Gaming chats with Michael Stout, designer on Ratchet & Clank 3. WorthPlaying grills creative director of Jak 3, Daniel Arey. |

To apperciate Halo you need to play it coop with your friend on legendary. BEST FPS EVER on that mode. Why? It feels like true battle at every turn, with your life totaly hinged on your shields, your skill, and your buddy.
And don't tell me thats not how the game was meant to be played, because it feels so right =). Hell even the LIB was fun on legendary with coop... you worry less about the "boring" level design and more about surviving each and every damn turn.
