Maybe through sampling all this stuff I might find something I find acceptable... but chances are I'll pretty much always be a big pansy who likes girly drinks with umbrellas. My girlfriend however does drink beer, plus she drives a stick shift car (which I dont). She is more of a man than me. :(

At 10:00 the group split because some people wanted to see The Bourne Suremacy and others wanted to keep drinking. fosbravado took off (hope to see you at more gatherings) and the rest of us went to dee dee reese cookie place to get cookie ice cream sandwiches for a dollar. Out theory is that this place is a money laundering place because there is no way they can pay Westwood rent and sell stuff for a dollar and make a profit. Everyone suggested that we get UMAX involved to get to the bottom of this snack mystery. After the cookies, themelon took the woman with the spyro the dragon tattoo away because he had to be up early.
At this point it was just Rampancy, Freshview, gndagger and myself. ON our way to maloney's we stopped at the arcade and played some Metal Slug 5, and then some air hockey. We lost Freshview and gndaggerat the arcade. We went into Maloney's and drank some more (pineapple juice for me because I had to drive and thanks for the drink Rampancy) and enjoyed the Matrix Lobby Shootout scene while Guns and Roses' Welcome to the Jungle played very loudly. Freshview joined us and told us that gndagger wasn't cool enough to get into the bar so we went back to the Westwood Brewery. We left after midnight, completely forgetting our plan of picking really shitty songs on the jukebox before we left.

Also being added to the show's payroll is former 24 star Reiko Aylesworth, who'll join the cast as a new lab technician--an arrangement in place before the firings/rehirings. Aylesworth could become a recurring character.

Just got back and need to give the heads up to any others that haven't seen it. Save your money. This is one of the worst movies I've ever seen. The story was about as lame as Star Wars 1 & 2. Maybe worse.
Also the person that directed The Bourne Supremacy needs to learn that shaky cam is cool once in a while not for 2 fucking hours. Holy fucking shit was the camera work the worst I have EVER seen in any movie. The camera work alone will make you want to vomit and give you a massice headache.
Aviod this steaming turd at all costs. I don't even think it's worth a torrent choking your bandwidth. Anybody else feel the same that's seen it?

Ok the harddrive in the Dell inspiron 8200 I have been working on is officially fucked up bad. Does anyone with laptop hardware experience (or anyone who can take a best guess) know if this laptop will be fine using any nonoem harddrive ? Im asking this because I noticed during the install of winxp home that there is a partition that is 31 mb in size whose file system is FAT.
I remember way back that OEM desktops used to store bios information on the harddrive (Wtf were they thinking ??) so I hope like hell this laptop does not have sometning similar going on.
Any information would be greatly appreciated. Thank you !

Warcraft 3. (with Frozen Throne of course, it's not totally the gaming timelag equivalent of a hilljack)
I shit you not. This thing came in a over a month ago, and people were just playing the single. Then I got them to play some multi melee, but the students have to take calls so it makes it really tough, and it was bound for a normal short-term GotM, like about 1.5 weeks. Then I dug around the FT custom directory and found Azure Tower Defense.
Now we're a bunch of fucking junkies. Seriously, while on the phones, students will click around, hit "A" without warning and then order some hapless professor to buff himself and attack the nearest tower. So anyway, we played Azure to death, lots of cheesy knockoffs, then found stuff like Defense of the Ancients, Plains of Fear, Enfo's Team Defense and fell in love even more. Now someone is even making a crazy DotA-like map except with all the oddball stuff we like, my pickyness for balance, etc etc. It's so fucking awesome. I just went to Best Buy and picked up the War3 Battle Chest. (I was borrowing someone's copy before). Jesus. Even the War3 single player is a nice diversion since all the multi makes it not seem stale.
It's awesome. It's such a pleasure for ~10 people to be hooked on a game at the same time.

I copied a file I had on a cd over to my machine callled obey your master and started watching it. fuck these people are good. It is amaziong to see how good people got with the disc launcher. All kinds of mid-air kills.

Company X has a telemarketing department. What they do is rather sleezy. Company X's telemarketers calls residents up at home and tells them something like "Hi, this is Company X calling you today, and we're not selling anything, just doing a quick 30 second survey for crime awareness in your area." If the resident gets through the survey, they're thanked for helping with crime awareness and are entered into a drawing for a "free home security system valued at $1200 and a weekend for two at a hotel of your choice."
There is no drawing. There are no winners. The surveys are pretty much bogus. The surveyed residents are called back a few days later and are told that they "won" the free security system, and are urged to have a technician come and install it. They then would have to pay a $30 monthly fee to connect them to the security station.
This seems rather sleezy, yes? I'd imagine it's jumping through some legal loopholes?
