Sunday Afternoon Shackreviews

A console-dominated update here as the PC and GBA take a break. This week, we see the first Electronic Arts title hitting Xbox Live with NCAA Football 2005 and the long-awaited release of Tales of Symphonia. Ya know, when I was adding Tales to the database, one of the listed features were 80 hours of gameplay. You would think the game would start to get repetitious/old/silly after a while, but that doesn't seem to be the case according to the reviewers. If you've picked this one up, let me know about it in the comments. As always, if there's a game you want in the database, see if it's already there and if not, request it!

I spent the week going .500 against Shackers in NCAA Football 2005 (4-4). I'm one of those oddities that can take down the best (previously 10-0 Scotty22) but lose to the absolute bottom of the barrel (1-3 jedi_27). The problems plaguing EA's servers have been causing headaches, but it hasn't totally hampered the gameplay experience. I hope they can set everything straight by the time Madden 2005 arrives because if they thought they had it bad now... Anywho, while I went out to rent NCAA, I also purchased the latest OXM with the Sudeki playable demo. Sadly, I have since lost the frickin' disc without ever putting it into my Xbox. I've tore up the place looking for it to no avail. $10 down the drain. =(
