I made a huge point of saying that my example was only for when it was warm... 88 outside is warm, 78 inside is cool. Granted, that may just be subjective but you may also notice that I made a point of saying that it's dependent on the weather.
With that said, if it is hot and you do not have AC, then you need to open windows and such for air flow. If you do not, your rooms get stuffy and humid (at least they do here in Florida - remember what I said about it depending on where you live?)
