I'm using an ethernet bridge (not by Microsoft, they don't seem to have any plans for releasing the official Xbox Wireless adapter), and while it works somewhat it doesn't work all that great. For example, Project Gotham Racing 2 is telling me I need to download an update. But when it goes back to the Dashboard to actually download it, after a while I just get a "Can't connect to Xbox Live" error. Not sure what I can do about it. Also on FileShack

Basically when someone is 10 levels above you, and they look at you, you die. Most PvP encounters I have been in are with players that are 10 levels above me. Which kind of stinks. Hopefully Blizzard can find a way to keep higher level players powerful but add some sport to the hunt.

2004 Honda Odyssey, $1500 lease down payment, $270/mo, 24 mo, 15k miles/yr., residual of $19400. In 2 years I'll have paid $8500, and I can toss it if I want, or buy it for the residual. Buying it requires an assload of cash up front, and I'm looking at spending more like $12-13k in the first 2 years. Besides, new body style coming this fall so that could negatively impact market value at the end of 2 years. I'm leaning towards the lease just because it's an attractive monthly payment and it's not that much of a "penalty" if we wanted to finance it after the lease is up.

Just as I was thinking what would I do if I see a cockroach right at that moment. RIGHT AT THAT MOMENT. I am not exagerating. The motherfucker was there just when I was thinking that. It was looking at me, slowly moving its antennas or whatever the fuck they are called . One of those big black ones. I couldn't decide what should creep me out? The fact that I was thinking of a cockroach that I have never seen for the last 3 years and I see it at that moment. Or the fucking big meaty black cockroach itself.
One thing that scares me more than the cockroach itself is the way it turns crazy when you spray the Raid on it. And this fucker did the exact same thing, fucking ran all over the place, on my dishes, glasses, food, paper towels.

helping a friend build a brand new pc. he was using a p3 emachines 533Mhz till now.
Today we bought a new case, asus p4v800 mobo, p4 3.0Mhz 800fsb cpu, ati 9600xt, 512mb ddr400, lg dvd writer, and a wd 80gb drive.
came home, set it all up, after an hour, rdy to test the thing out, plugged in a moniter, keyboard, mouse, pushed the power button.... nothing happens
no leds, no fans, nothing. everything is plugged in. but no power coming through AT ALL...

At about 8:20 while watching Last Comic Standing (someone spoil tonight's episode for me please) our doorbell rings. Two little boys about 13 and 14 are there asking where the state park is. Common thing actually, a trail comes out about 1/8 of a mile from our house at a bridge and continues on the other side, except there are no markers. Its getting dark fast so after directing them to the trail I just go and pick them up to take to the front of the park (3 miles by trail, about 4 by road).
Get there, drop them off to two very happy parents (it was a birthday party) and back up. Realize I'm facing the wrong way (it was a one way, DOH) I start going in reverse about 15 yards to the turn around spot. Look around, no trees, cut the wheel in anticipation to speed off to get back to my TV show...CRASH. Turns out there was about a 12 inch high rock border on the road.
Resulting damage: scratched rim and busted tire popped off the a little. Pull the car forward some (it was still riding tire, but just barely) and replace it with a full spare. New tire is about 15 degrees off - FUCK. AAA gonna tow it to a dealership an hour away in the morning (free tow, hurray!) and we'll find out the resulting damage. More than likely a bent axle, but maybe the wheel or something just got popped loose some? I'm not a mechanic, but I'm betting axle.
I have about 10 days before I take it on a cross-country road trip, Tennessee to Seattle for schoolin. Tires were brand new, car is fully insured, still a giant pain in the ass. Tis a '99 Jetta GL (5 speed) if your curious.
Moral of the Story: good deeds better pay off later. <sigh>

If you ever played AOEII, you know that the game had a big problem with AI being unbalanced at that level. Needless to say it was an incredible game. Note the total game time on the top right (Yeah it's real time, and that's in hours not minutes).

This is my website, and I'm having two semi-large problems with it right now. First of all, under IE, I can't properly select text on the page, especially on the lower down news posts. Try it and see for yourself.
Second problem: In Firefox, the vertical scrollbar does not appear on the page, and you can't scroll down with the scroll-wheel either. The only way to make the scrollbar to appear is to resize the page horizontally - doesn't matter how much.
If anyone out there knows what the problem may be please let me know! Each news post is a <DIV> with a table inside. The entire page is 3 separate DIVs which are absolutely positioned. Containing all of this is a DIV with the following properties:
div.pagecontainer {
position: relative;
margin: 0px auto;
width: 780px;
height: auto;
}

Holy cow Maarten, I get the same problem with my router and I'm 'wired' into it. It works fine when I plug directly into the CM but that exact same thing happens to me in every single game when I'm wired into my Linksys WRTG54 router/switch. Very weird. It used to work flawlessly. I haven't changed anything either.
There's an Accord in front of me that suddenly has its reverse lights on. I'm at least six feet behind it, as I always give extra room.
The GF: What's that guy doing?
Me: I'm not sure.
The Accord picks up speed!
I honk, but to no avail. The car crunches my bumper.
The woman gets out and says: I thought I put it in park.
