Q3 Date Clarified

Blues News has some clarification on the Q3A December 5th date given by Activision. This is the day they expect it to be available everywhere (in the U.S that is). So the game will start showing up tomorrow in larger cities (as reported before) and then every town, anywhere should have it by Sunday.

Oh yeah, overload for a short while again..things are under control (I hope), but I had to yank the Q3 board again after it was only up for 10 minutes.

  • yeah, sucks about the seattle thing. However, I disagree with most people and say the police did a pretty damn good job cleaning up the place. Sure they were a bit forceful today but really they kept a crowd that huge under control fairly well, with a lot of vandalism but no real big injuries. They\'re just doin\' their job, after all. Whether you agree with what they\'re defending is okay or not, whatever.
As for the rioters, it really is sad. A lot of those people really had a great message out there and were going to get the message across with an anti-violent crowd, but whenever you bring in a crowd that big, you\'re bound to get three types of extras:
    1. people who think violence is the only way to get the attention of world leaders
    2. people or groups who want attention, thus, breaking stuff and rioting is a good way for tv spots and to give the police a bad name
    3. people who don\'t have a clue what the WTO is or is about, but wanna come break stuff. or turn down the government.

i think it sucks, though, because every bit of rioting has ruined the message the protesters wanted to get across. Instead of a huge group uniting to show the evilness of the WTO, it\'s an evil group uniting just because they\'re rioting.

  • Hey #276, my last four vacations were to your city of Seattle. When I saw that crap I almost vomited. It\'s one thing to protest, but to randomly just destroy property returns us to primal no-brainers.
I hope they restore order and fix all the damage there.

Happy fraggin! Waiting for Q3A down here in San Diego.

(If you don\'t believe I\'ve been there, there is a really cool Irish bar called the Owl N\'Thistle on Post Avenue, and the Six Arms Brew and Pub makes this AWESOME ale called \'Ruby\' that uses 1 lb. of raspberries in their brew--unlike this fake CA crap that uses pink coloring.)

  • Yeah, gamedealer \"lost\" my discount coupon as well. Dunno how or why- probably a mistake, but it might be worth it to send a brief mail to their customer service that you signed for the discount if it\'s reading wrong for you.

About Seattle: there were like 200 black flag anarchists who came looking for trouble. The police had a chance to arrest them- they even annouced publically that they were coming and what they\'d be doing- most of the real protestors deplored them, and tried to stop their looting (a friend o\' mine got knocked over the head when he tried to stop looting and erase the graffitii). But on the first day they just stood and watched them break windows. I think they just wanted a good excuse to gas and pepper the peaceful protestors em masse.
