Armies of Exigo Announced

Electronic Arts issued this press release, announcing a new strategy game called Armies of Exigo. This fantasy RTS title is being developed at Black Hole Games, a new development studio funded by Cinergi Interactive, itself a subsidiary of the movie production company Cinergi Pictures Entertainment (Tombstone, Die Hard With a Vengeance, among others). The game will ship fall 2004, and GameSpy has a Q&A with EA producer Matt McKnight about the game, along with some screenshots.

Worlds collide in Armies of Exigo, where the traditional boundaries of the battlefield are smashed and war is waged both above and below the ground. Armies of Exigo locks elves, beasts, knights, and creatures of the darkness in an epic battle for survival where armies can delve deep underground to advance undetected and then tunnel to the surface to unleash powerful attacks on their unsuspecting enemies.
