DreamCatcher on UC Pricing
by Maarten Goldstein, Jan 30, 2004 8:20am PSTAs we reported yesterday, trouble is brewing between 3000AD and publisher DreamCatcher over the pricing of Universal Combat; which has been set at $19.95 - not enough for 3000AD to make any money on the game according to company president Derek Smart. We received this statement from DreamCatcher: "Our pricing strategy has been set in the best interests of the title and more importantly the consumer. Universal Combat provides terrific value to the consumer at $19.99 and we are happy to be able to deliver that value". Update: here is the legal response from 3000AD in PDF format.
