Japan\'s culture (to mirror somewhat of what #21 said) is extremely honor based. Kids are raised with the understanding that certain things just aren\'t done. A buddy of mine was stationed over there and married one of them. He said you can leave your car full of CD\'s UNLOCKED in downtown Tokyo and no one will touch it.

Course, this honor is also why they commit suicide when they fail.

Well in Japan their society is a little different. If the company goes down the manger usually commits suicide and so do the assitants. We Americans believe in survival of the fittest! That\'s we keep beating ourselfs to a bloody pulp till someone survives :)

I wonder why stuff like this doesnt happen in Japan.
Is their culture more mature ? Are they naturally less violent in real life, then us over here ? Do they have a better system to get rid of moronic violent behaviour compared to us ?
