5The Legend guys just released a 92kb patch to fix the Direct 3D problems with Wheel of Time. The patch is for both the retail as well as the demo version. I wish I was on a fast connection, I'd like to try the demo out..Anyone wanna send me a CD? ;)

Oh well. It ran without a hitch on my V2 and the textures look very nice. I don\'t think i\'ll be buying this game anytime soon. What happened to the RPG elements they talked about? I thought it was going to be a strategy type game in multiplayer. BAH!
I just started the series about 3 weeks ago on a recommendation from my friend and I haven\'t been able to put it down since...just about done with book 3.
Anyways, I think the demo is good, but if you know the story behind, it gets a helluva a lot better! It\'s amazing to see some of the stuff come to life...I think they did do a good job, from what I\'ve seen. I definately recommend this series to anyone who likes a good fantasy...

When I load up www.planetwheeloftime.com in my Netscape 4.7 browser, I get a good paragraph of straight VBScript printed to my screen near the opening heading. Why? Because they decided to use a non-standards complaint, MICRO$OFT only scripting language for something that JavaScript would EASILY have done.
(the routine in question checked the date, and counted down the time until WOT releases).
Lame.
Netscape users of the world unite. You have nothing to lose but...ah, oh nevermind.
Good, so I guess it will run on my very old Voodoo2.
