Lastly, in what has to be some kind of miracle, a SBC tech showed up with some IPs and our DSL started working here at home. They ended up still not delivering on the 2mbit upstream that a sales rep promised me (only got 384k) though so we're getting a pretty good discount instead of cancellation. The downstream is close to the promised level though, getting over 600k/s download speeds at home is pretty freaky. Oh just for good measure, the thing already went offline once this afternoon. I'll post more detailed results for the interested in Broadband reports in about a month. So ends the saga...
