C&C Generals Zero Hour
by Steve Gibson, Jul 07, 2003 7:22am PDTHere comes the C&C Generals expansion! EA has announced the C&C Generals Zero Hour expansion this morning which strangely enough expands upon C&C Generals. This gets a full story because despite the annoying interface you cant customize I ended up playing countless hours of Generals:
Players will wage a global war to become the ultimate General of modern warfare as they square off against the world's most elite commanders. An all-new Generals Challenge mode will allow players to control any of 9 distinctive armies in battle through 9 computer-controlled Generals. After defeating the AI Generals, players will have the ability to select conquered armies to play online.

I wanna be able to blow a bridge up, and have engineers have to fix it. OR get one of those Army Engineer trucks with the flip out bridges...that'd be badass.

make an option to TURN OFF super weapons like in previous C+C games ... that would make the game SO MUCH more fun when playing against a few computer opponents .. currently the game is just too easy (even against brutal armys)

also, the superpowers are used by selecting the building, while the general powers are used by selecting an always-onscreen icon. Going back to the builing to launch a nuke really sucks.

i have logged millions of hours in counter-strike, quake 3, quake 2, and others, and this game is one of the few that make it into the "continuously played" category.

I ended up playing this game a lot as well. My only gripe is the bad netcode (peer 2 peer... come on).
