I have actually been noticing this lately. Moviemakers have been less and less subtle in the way they write car ads into the movie. For example, Q could just show James Bond his new car, which happens to be an Aston Martin, but he makes a point of saying "This is your Aston Martin Vanquish" (or something like that).

The Matrix was all Cadillac-ified with the CTS and Escalade.

If you listen to the dialog in Terminator 3, you'll hear a blatant plug for the Toyota Tundra.
